(Established in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland in 1832) 1832 - Lachlan Taylor runs the business offering plumbing services to the Lanarkshire area. Company is taken over by his sons, Archibald and Lachlan in the 1870's. 1920's - Business sold to a London Firm, with which Mr George Taylor establishes the non-ferrous foundry, known as Park Road Works. He specialises in hand pumps, wash valves and other deck fittings for the Ship Building Industry. 1960's - John Burn takes over the business and relocates to Kemp Street. Company installs its first 1/2 tonne per hour electric induction furnace. Due to market changes the foundry changes to the production of iron. 1990's - Foundry is taken over by John's son, Jon Burn and continues to operate under his leadership.
